Leonidas Karabinis

Born in Athens in 1968. Associate Professor of Visual Arts at the University of West Attica, Department of Antiquities and Works of Art Conservation. Trained in conservation, painting under Nikos Kessanlis at the Athens School of Fine Arts, and holds a Master’s in Architecture–Spatial Design from the National Technical University of Athens. Erasmus scholarship at the Munich Academy (1993) and Berlin’s HDK (2000–01). From 1987 to 2000 he worked on major Greek monuments and collections including the Royal Tombs of Vergina, the Palace of Lower Zakros, Athonite monasteries, Akrotiri on Thera, and the Bank of Greece. Seven solo and over thirty group exhibitions.
